Impressions about plant

July 26, 2022
Going straight water today. Pulling the blumats and saturating the pot.
Then between Friday to Tuesday she will be getting the chop. I might be chopping the top in a day or 2. She looks like she's done today, but I'll hold off just to be sure. The rest of the plant looks like she needs 3 to 7 days.
I posted 3 pics of the trichomes. They are still blurry, but the center seems to be pretty clear. Any opinions of ripeness would be greatly welcome.

Chopped the top today. Dropped the light down to the main canopy at 8". I have the top drying for now in a cardboard box attached to a side port for air flow. I'd say less then a week for her to finish up.

She is now 27" tall with the top off. I did end up moving some stuff and raised her up. The light is now 8" from the canopy. The lux reading was 70k. So this should, in theory, be a very good height for the last couple of days. The lower canopy buds are starting to grow more, so it's a good thing I chopped the top instead of 48 hours of dark. I also had the light height around 8" during late flower as well. No burning with that, so this should be good.

So she is getting ready for harvest. I'm thinking by Sunday. Her trichomes are abundant and mostly cloudy. Her buds are extremely sticky.
I also flipped the top in the cardboard box which has a massively pungent odor. I was going to try the 48 hours of dark before harvest, but I don't think I'm going to.
I fed her 500 ml distilled water just to keep her from completely drying out by this weekend, just in case she isn't quite ready. Highly doubtful.
1 quarter turn.

The way my operation is setup, made it impossible to drop my light. So I lifted her up to 8" from the light. I figure 3 days of a 100w grow light at 8" wouldn't hurt anything at all. Plus it helps with light distribution and air flow. One of my fans has to be up pretty high because of the compact space. The grow light is directly above it so the canopy has constant air flow. The lower canopy fan has more space to distribute air as well.

One or two more days to be really sure. Bottom popcorn buds are turning orange pretty quickly. I think I'll base harvest on those lower buds. Kinda.
70% cloudy
25% clear
5% amber.

1 quarter turn. (No more after this)

I honestly cannot tell if she is ready or not. I've observed her trichomes and they are almost all cloudy with patches of clear, but weirdly enough, I don't see anymore amber trichomes. It's like they disappeared. So I gave her 250ml distilled water to hold over the next couple of days.
Also, the main cola is getting fluffy during drying. Is that normal? Looks like I'm waiting a bit longer.

No rotations today
Almost all of the large fan leaves are yellowing if not completely yellow.

I changed her dark time hours from 2am- 6am to 4am- 8am. I'm up before light hours. Alas, she just isn't quite ripe enough yet. I'm still seeing more clear trichomes than I'd like, but there are more cloudy ones than from yesterday.
Leaves are doing well in their dying stage. Haha. I wonder if that makes clearing out the chlorophyll easier.
Still getting the hay smell from the temporary drying box. I'm hoping that changes when I harvest and put it in with the rest of the plant.

Didn't weigh again.
Well, I'm gonna have to just keep checking on her daily. Pic for today shows a mix of clear and cloudy. Not seeing amber at all. Weird. Impatient waiting. Lol.
I decided to water 500 ml today as she seems to have a bit more time than originally thought. Luckily, I didn't pull the actual blumat carrots. I popped the tops off so they didn't work anymore. But they do pretty good at giving me an idea how much water she needs and when. I'll just keep watering as needed. I won't let her get too dry.
A couple lower buds are starting to get orange hairs on them.
Trichomes seem to have added a few more cloudy. No amber though.
I may check her later on today.

Last day of week 10. Trichome production is steady I suppose. Many more cloudy trichomes. A couple of buds are starting to start developing a bit of amber.

Cloudy 75%
Amber 2%

Given the extended time I didn't expect, I think 500 ml of water a day would be perfect to keep her going strong and also keep the pot weight light.
Tent environment is super steady, even with dark start time changed.

4th full day of drying for the top cola. I'd give it 5 to 10 more days based on the 7 to 14 day "rule" and humidity level.
Temp 63°
Humidity 60%
As for harvest time, I'd say a few more days maybe. The lower light distance from the canopy should work perfectly in that time.
