Impressions about plant

December 23, 2022 Day 29
This week I will focus on LST. I already tied their tops down last night. Today I'll let her grow and tomorrow, I'll tie branches down. I'm trying to keep them within the confines of their containers for space for more plants. So far I have the tops perfectly even with the rim of 3 gallon pots. I'll pull out branches to the rim as well. I'll have to trim the outer leaves to keep them more compact. They are taking in just under a liter a day. I'm expecting them to start stretching in a couple of days. I trained them down to 10". I think training again at 12" would be good. Then that's it I think. Minor adjustments after that. Then a light defoliation next week I think. I'm trying to get as much stretch as I can from 10". Maybe 24", they haven't started pre-flower yet, so that is a good height to work with. 3 ft would be nicer though and maybe they will get there. 3 times the height is fairly common I guess.

Day 2 of LST. One of the plants got most branches tied down to the edge of the container. The other one is already bushing out and the branches are level with her top. Now it is time to wait. Will make small adjustments tomorrow or the next day. The one that didn't need training right away has a bit more of an open canopy naturally than the other one. I'll keep an eye for the day and train her some tonight. The tied down one opened up nicely. Lots of space for more branches. Looking great!

Both ladies took to their training perfectly. They are both just around the rim of their containers. A little bushy is nice too. Both ladies got some more training done. Small adjustments on one and a full training on the other one. Canopy is opened up for more branches and bud sites.

The ladies look amazing after training again. They got some more today. I'm just bending them down along the rim of the container. It's helping make them a bit more uniform. They should be starting pre-flower in a few days I think. I'll leave them alone for the most part during the final stretch. Maybe make an adjustment here and there. I'll defoliate during her second week of flowering. At the very least the big fan leaves.

Both ladies are starting pre-flower now. They just started to speed up in growth. I'm hoping for 24" plants. They have taken perfectly to their training and look amazing. Just barely over the rim of their containers. I have about 12 inches of workable space. So 2 extra inches around. Should be great!

Both ladies got their first defoliation. Nothing crazy. I just needed to get rid of some bottom growth and the big fan leaves. They were covering too much and locking in moisture. The ladies look fantastic with their new haircuts! Nice light penetration and open for airflow.

Temp: 73.1°

December 29, 2022
The ladies received a couple tie down adjustments. Just to level the canopy a bit more. I did use a training clip on one of the top smaller branches to bring it down to the canopy level on one of them.
I also noticed a completely different structure for each plant. It's super interesting. One grew her branches pointing up. The other grew her branches out. They are now both the same height. But the structure is different. Hmmm. Anyway, from the side the one with branches up seems to have much more open space. The other one has open space as well, but because she is wider, it seems she has more covering leaves. I don't want to trim anything else until the stretch is over.
