Impressions about plant

12/21 (Day 26) - Noticed the bedroom has a bit of a funk to it. Lightly skunky. Will give it a day or two to be sure it's the plants, then hook up the carbon filter. Hopefully, it isn't me funking up the joint.

12/21 continued - Definitely stink from the plants. Hooked up the carbon filter. Checked close and the plants are showing sex (Oh, baby!). Run-off was lower today. Down over the last 3 days from 5 quarts to 3. 3 quarts is still 25% run-off, so good, but indicating the water intake is increasing. Thinking about culling the two runts to make room in the room. Also jacked up the light. Haven't moved it from old 30" spacing, but took it up to 70%. Somewhere north of 500 uMols on all. Highest parts of the plants are at the perimeter, to keep uMols somewhat even across the canopy.

12/22 (Day 27) - Jacked the light up to 100% (460 watts). Dropped RH limit on fan to 55%. Light still at old height (30" above pot tops). Light meter came yesterday. Will check new PPFD later. Funk seems to have dissipated with the carbon filter.

12/23 (Day 28) - Funk inside the tent is a mix of skunk and ass-crack. If pollinators are attracted to this I better watch the back of my jeans the next time I work outside in the summer. I junked the runt of the litter, as it was stunted and I needed more room for rotation. Afterwards, I broke off the main cola on the next smallest honey. Nuts! I was like a 20 year old yoga teacher "helping" a 60 year old me to do the dog-licks-wiener when it snapped during LST. Lesson learned. Won't do that again. Not soon, anyway.

With the new room for rotation, I've started emptying the trays after drawing off the run-off. All in an attempt to manage RH. I've set the fan for 55 TH, but the best it can maintain at nominal fan speeds is 59. Hoping the reduced available "wet" will allow the RH to be more easily maintained. Far red light and the bspec 135 came today. Haven't done a blessed thing with either (aside from assembly). Ordered an rspec board and will swap out the bspec and put in the tent when it comes in next week. Looking to jack up the umols to roughly 1000 over the next couple weeks. Speaking of which, I should see where the hell I'm at now.

12/24 (Day 29) - Run-off was low again last night. I think the humidity adjustment is drying the coco quicker. Time to up the watering to 4 gallons. Plants are 10" above dirt at max height, 21" below light. Haven't moved the light at all. uMols at the middle of the pot and top of canopy on each plant range between 650 and 900. Most around 650-700. The one in the rear middle was the high one, likely because (surprise!) it's in the middle. Turned the main cola (highest part) away from the light to drop that to 750. Going to have to spread the pots to get to evenosity.

12/26 (Day 31) - Buds are noticeable. Leaf tucking isn't working very well. Leaves tend to spring back overnight. A few height issues, where the main is pointing up at the perimeter and skyrocketing. Not sure whether to let it run or supercrop or do something similar. I'm out of room for LST. May try to spiral and pull to the side. For now, I've rotated the highest points to the perimeter. PPFD at the top of the high point is 900, in lower canopy 800. What a difference a week makes. Yeesh!
