1/26/22 Here's the set up for the new grow. Seeds going in water today.
1/28 - Planted and lidded. Under DLI 10.
1/31/22 Happy Birthday! This is seed C, as I suspected. She just broke ground, and is SO TINY. How quickly we forget!
2/1/22 Happy birthday! Seed A - small pot with grow dots.
2/1/22 Happy birthday! Seed B.

Impressions about plant

1/26/22 - I started setting up yesterday for my second grow. Lucy was harvested yesterday, weighing a decent 9.14 oz wet. She's drying low and slow in her tent. The new grow has my new tent and light - the choices were not available here (looks as if a database update is needed). The girls will be going into an AC Infinity 3x3x6 tent, an Xmas gift from my loving husband. I bought a Bloom Plus 300W LED - not the best, but what I could afford and certainly an upgrade from my Mars TS1000. This light runs very hot, so I hung the 6 inch carbon filter at light height. Early test run shows with light at 100%, filter at 75%, and 400 cfm intake fan at low, the temp hits 81% which will work. The light at 100% will be overkill on the DLI, but I wanted to check "worst case scenario".

I set up three A Pot For Pot (and I can't say enough good things about them after my first easy grow!) pots - two 5 gallon, and one 2 gallon. I'm going to add Mykos, and use Recharge throughout. One pot will get Grow Dots - from the results I have seen others get, this looks like a perfect nute solution. I'll go light b/c of the Superb Soil at the bottom of the pot. I have placed three Solo cups w/the bottoms removed and sliced into thirds into the pots. The intention is to contain the small amount of water a seedling needs, and give them space to grow down, avoiding becoming root bound. The cup pieces come out when the plant would normally be transplanted. As Lucy only grew to 20 inches, I'm eliminating any chance of transplant stress. (The only other factor is genetics, and this grow will help me determine this.) The pots were set up more than two weeks ago - with some extra perlite and Mykos added in. I'm excited to get this going. I may be able to plant tomorrow - Lucy popped in one day and broke ground two days later.

So! Welcome to the new grow. Fingers crossed for my success - please, no twisty babies!

1/27/22 Dropped the seeds finally at 8 PM last night. 12 hours later, two have split and sunk, the third is still floating. Happy about that! I'll be checking the pots - they are still quite moist but the are going into embedded bottomless solo cups - right in the final pots. A=2 gal, B & C= 5 gal. Since the 2 gal has less soil. I am going to mix in a small amount of Grow Dots - only in the coco since the Superb Soil is underneath.

1/29/22 Seeds went in yesterday. All of them had popped. Pot "C" got the "best looking" seed, so we'll see. Nothing to see this morning as expected. I switched intake fans last night to the 100 CFM, the 400 is overkill even turned down as low as it will go. I don't need that much air for temperature control yet - not until the babies are growing and I turn up the lights! Currently set at 10 DLI, and we're keeping temps in the low 70s. Humidity good inside the pots since they are "domed". Tent air is 30%, which is surprising as the room air is in the 20s.

2/1/22 Happy New Year and Happy Birthday! All three girls have broken ground (this will be day 1), all look healthy, and seed C is already standing upright. I had seen the little "loops" last night at bedtime, and they pulled their baby leaves above soil overnight. Sprayed their plastic coverings, will need to top off the humidifier later. I forgot how TINY they are at birth!

1/31/22 Happy birthday to seed C! She broke ground this morning, and I can already see her first tiny leaves tucked inside her cotyledons. I knew she'd be first somehow. Here we grow!

2/2/22 - Happy Groundhogs day! My three little groundhogs are doing well, all look healthy and are standing up tall, and showing their first leaves. Plant C is doing the best - she broke ground first. I increased DLI to 11, gave everyone 15 ml of water in a circle at the inside edge of the cup.
