Weekly Summary:
I made some changes to the grow tent in order to correct and stabilize the temperature and humidity. I added a 3.7L humidifier to the tent because humidity has been below the minimum threshold for the stage of life the plants are in. I removed the room A/C and made some modifications to my apartment's thermostat's schedule. I recalibrated the ventilation system and moved the intake vent to a position that makes more logistical sense (opposite the exhaust fan's carbon filter and at the bottom of the tent instead of the top). This improved circulation. I have a humidifier outside the grow tent that I use in the rest of the apartment, and I've increased it's minimum target as well. This has resulted in the conditions listed below, as well as a 62% decrease in electricity consumed.
Plant B sprouted this week and appears to be growing at a faster rate than Plant A. Earlier in the week I noticed that some of the leaf tips on Plant A were burnt; I raised the light to 30cm from 10cm from plant as a result. This seems to have had a positive impact on both plants; Plant A doesn't appear to have sustained any additional damage and Plant B seems to be growing at a faster pace than Plant A.
I'm separately starting the other 3 seeds that I got in this five pack of Northern Lights Autoflower and will be raising them in the same grow tent. I'm going to be adding a four bucket DWC system with a central reservoir to make everything more manageable. I'm going to track those in a separate journal because of the discrepancy in germination dates.
