Impressions about plant

10.12.22 - Leggy plants are a sign that it's not getting enough light. Even though i'm following the instructions, the lights at 3 feet are not giving the plants (particularly the Gold Leaf) the right amount of light and they're burning all their energy to get higher. The two purple haze are looking ok though, which is why i thought it was a genetics thing. They are not nearly as tall as the Gold Leaf or the White Widow. The solution last night was to change up my LEDs to a single low-power light at about 4 or 5 inches from the seedlings. I clearly put them in a lot of stress with the heat and the humidity. I read that they want about 75 degrees and between 40-60% humidty. So the house is really in the right place. I have been using the oscilating fan now since they popped out of the ground, and that may be the only reason they're still standing. I checked them this evening and the 2 purple haze have extended their first true leaves and are sprouting tiny new ones. Fall in South Eastern USA really has its ups and downs, with days swinging wildly between 75 and 50 degrees. nights can get into the 40s. So indoors is the only way. I'm spraying each pod with 8 shots of water. If the Gold leaf looks like it's doing ok, i won't bury the stalk, but if it looks like that's the best bet, i will. If any of these die, I won't start any new ones until I've made it past the seedling stage so i can be sure everything i do with the rest is ok.
