Impressions about plant
This grow is finally over, and everything is curing in their grove bags. Thank you to all that have left encouragement…made me want to do well. The results have been better than I could have imagined…my best grow ever. The Chocolope did not get very big, but the buds did, and they were all great quality…no larf. The buds were absolutely huge. I yielded 6 ounces from this one plant and over 2 ½ pounds for the 4x4 tent.
She veg’d for 32 days. I harvested the Main buds from one of the two plants on day 91 after the 12/12 flip. I let the lower popcorn buds continue to grow and ripen in the tent and harvested them on Flower Day 101. They will get an 8-week cure. I did the test smoke after drying but before curing. The smoke was mild with no harshness…nice. I did open the curing bag after a few weeks, and I actually smell Chocolate! Can’t wait to try a post cure smoke.

Lessons learned on this grow
• When using a 5-gallon smart bag, I can skip the 3-gallon pot and go right from the 1-gallon pot to the 5-gallon smart bag. Only need the 3-gallon pots if ultimate container will be a 7-gallon smart bag
• 5 plants really is too much for a 4x4…especially with Sativas
• The AC / Dehumidifier really helped regulate the environment
• If you end up with canopies that are too thick…harvesting in two steps will save those lower buds
• Sativas get tall…got to aggressively tame them in a tent – flip them earlier than you would an Indica
• Sativas take a looong time to finish
• ProMix requires more pearlite that Sunshine Mix #4 – the one plant I used ProMix on stayed too wet and it stunted its growth – plant only 27” high and only 6-ounce yield
• Using a bowl trimmer for the side buds makes harvesting a much more enjoyable experience…saved many hours
