Impressions about plant
I was able to find a dropper, and I had my 2-gallon watering can which was pH’d to about 7.0 last night. I added ONE drop of that “pH Down” solution to that can, which lowered the pH to nearly 4.5!!!! ONE DROP of this stuff! After that, I pH’d the Home Depot bucket of water to 6.5, which was SUPER easy to do now that it’s dialed in. I filled up my spray bottle to the very top, which is about 950ml (milliliters), and I proceeded to add 10x sprays of water to each plant, moving in a clockwise rotation. Ten sprays at a time, then move on to the next plant. Repeat the process until the bottle of spray water drops to about 600 ml. That would equal the difference between 950 and 600, which is about 350 ml. Divide that by 6 plants, and you have approx 50-60 ml of water per plant, twice a day. I’ll need to increase that as they get bigger, but for right now, that should be fine.
June 8 notes- I started reading online last night about overwatering and underwatering. I'm not sure if I'm doing that or not.... I also found that watering on a schedule when growing in a Coco-based soil mix is BAD. And, I was watering every 12 hours, basically at 9 am and 9 pm... So, last night, I purposely overwatered the plants to see what would happen. I came out this morning, and the plants looked exactly the same as last night. I don't know exactly how much water I gave them last night, but it was probably on the order of 3-4x the normal amount. The grow media appeared to still retain a bit of water/moisture this morning, so I skipped watering, but I did pH the water in my bucket to 6.5. I made no changes this morning, and am leaving the environment "as-is".
