This is my second time growing a Big Bud strain. I had one in my last grow of 5 plants in a 4x4 tent (see journal on this site) and averaged more than 8 oz per plant overall…42 oz. total, but the Big Bud only got 5 and…well…the buds were not big. I really like the smoke at night watching TV before bed so I thought I would give it another shot with a little less crowded tent. (4 plants instead of 5). Hopefully I can give her what she needs to live up to her name and yield a little more.

I dropped a seed in the water 15 days ago. Within a couple days it turned fuzzy (fungus?). I looked around over on the forum and they said some still pop with the fuzz…it never did…will use peroxide in the future. I dropped another seed 11 days ago and it grew a tail within two days and I planted it 9 days ago. It is 1 week old today. I used Espoma seed starter soil on the top and Sunshine Mix #4 on the bottom…with some extra perlite added. I also spiked with Mykos and Azos. I plan on putting them in a SCROG once the flowering stretch is done.

It has been 7 days since it sprouted. She is now getting 460 PPFD 24 hours…she had her first light feeding yesterday…1/2 1st week veg nutes (Success Nutrients + Superthrive)...responded well with some good growth. Will reduce light period in a week or so…first to 20/4, then to 18/6 once I hit 600 PPFD
