I germinate all my seeds, Auto and Fem, by soaking for 24 hrs. Then I put them in a damp, folded paper towel and insert the towel into a plastic sandwich ziplock. I pinch the zip lock together in the middle and then put it on a thin towel over a seedling mat. Generally, it has germinated in a day or two at the most. I throw them jiffy pods and leave them in the jiffy container, covered until they pop up. I leave them in the container with the lid removed for approx 4-5 days. Then I plant them in 5 gal smart pots with 70% organic soil and 30% perlite (nute free).

I don't plant in the smart pots after they have germinated in the plastic bag because it's easier for me to regulate temp/humidity/light, especially if I drop several seeds at once. Plus, it is a tried and true method of mine that works with minimal failures.
