Impressions about plant
Replies to comments do not seem to be visible…glitch has been around for awhile now. I forget how radical my defoliation seems until one of you like @smittyj or @foxmatt23 mentions it. I have always done this…growing in a tabletop Phototron back in the late 70s / early 80s. When I decided to get back in the game with LEDs, I stumbled upon a book called Three a Light that also promotes this defoliation, flat canopy, and updressing technique. I love to send complete defoliation pictures to someone that is worried about pruning a few leaves. I will do a complete defoliation again around day 21 and then SCROG these girls in.
It has been 56 days since they sprouted. I veg’d them for 32 days. I consider this Day 10 of Flower…meaning 10 days since the complete defoliation and switching the lights to 12/12. Lots of bud sites and preflowers showed up a couple of days ago and are covering the plants. 800+ PPFD, the humidity has been at or around 60% because of the weather, the temp at 85, and I am using the Day 6-10 feed schedule for Success Nutrients with the addition of some SuperThrive (and a feed, feed, feed, flush cadence.)
They have completely recovered from the defoliation and the tent is packed. I did a major updressing on them today and removed most of the small growth in the middle…only want to leave stuff that will be at canopy level and get light. I also cut some significant lower branches off because there was no chance to reach the canopy…should have done this sooner. They have begun to stretch and they are at 19” or 20”. They are back to cycling every other day.
